The West Catholic Falcons hosted the Lakers of Spring Lake on Thursday, September 13. The Lakers found themselves pulling ahead by going on a eight point run in the first set and closing out the match 25-16. The Falcons came out in set two with energy and determination by going point for point with Spring Lake, coming out of a 17-20 timeout the Falcons held on as tight as they could with Spring Lake taking set two 25-21. With aggressive serving again in set three from the Lakers, WC found themselves having to dig deep to stay alive in the match with scrappy defense. Ultimately, Spring Lake would take the match, closing out set three 25-17. The Falcons will travel to Comstock Park on Thursday, September 20. Freshmen will play at 4pm, JV will play at 5pm and Varsity will follow at 6pm.
