West Catholic girls swept a double header from Hopkins on the warmest night of the year at the West Catholic field.

In Game 1, West made a great comeback after being down 6-2, winning 9- 6.  Junior Becca Tuck  gave West a  gutty perfomance,  shutting down the hot Hopkins bats when she needed to.  Junior Dana Wila pounded a HR over the Center field fence in the 3rd inning, and went 3-4 from the plate and scored 2 runs. Senior Morgan Hipp scored 3 runs manufacturing several runs with her aggressive, inteligent base running.  Senior Megan Beekman had the key hit of the game with a double to the center/right field gap scoring 2 runs and giving West the lead for good.

In Game 2, the West Ladies showed why they may be the best hitting team in recent history for the Falcons. Winning 19-1 in 3 innings, an incredible 14 runs were scored in the 1st inning alone, lead by home runs by Dana Wila,  Sophomore Annika Roersma and Senior Megan Beekman.  All 3 were blasts that  everyone knew were out of the park as soon as they were off the bats.  Dana Wila once again proved to be one of the area's best players as she went 3 for 3 from the plate and hit her 2nd home run of the night  while playing flawless Center Field. Other notable performances included Morgan Hipp ... 2 for 2 and 3 runs scored .... Becca Tuck ... 3 for 3 and 3 runs scored and Megan Beekman.... 2 for 2 and 2 runs scored. (Her home run was an epic shot that nearly cleared the adjacent fence on the boys field!)

Becca Tuck again pitched a solid game, giving up just 1 hit.  Defense was superb with numerous solid plays in the field.

Was a great night to be a Falcon!
