Girls Varsity Cheerleading at CPHS Invitational

Falcons Win: 658.00 - 0
The varsity cheerleading team earned a second place finish at the Comstock Park Invitational last night.  If that is not impressive enough, they beat the school record for a round one score; beating the record this very team set earlier this season.  The Lady Falcons will compete in district finals this Friday night at Comstock Park High School at 6:00.  Come on our and show your support.  Go West!

Competitive Cheer Finishes a Record Setting Conference Season

Falcons Lose: 668.00 - 724.00
The girls in green finished strong in Coopersville at their last conference competition tonight.  They once again set records; proving they were born to thrive!  They missed a round one record by 2 points, but then came back to set school records in round 2 with a score of 188.24, and then again in round 3 earning a 276.80.  Tonight's overall score of 668.54 was also enough for a new school record.  The Lady Falcons achieved a 4th place overall finish in the conference.  While the regular conference has come to an end, there is plenty of cheer left.  Come out and support your Falcons at 6:00 this Friday, February 9, at Caledonia High School.  Go West!  
Competitive Cheer Competes at Kenowa Hills Invitational

Falcons Lose: 631.22 - 712.46
The Lady Falcons competed close to home Saturday at the Kenowa Hills Invitational.  They battled illness amongst the team last week, resulting in last minute changes to both rounds 1 and 3.  Despite these obstacles the ladies they performed quite well on the mat.  Their next competition is a Conference Jamboree Wednesday February 7 at 6:30pm at Coopersville High School.  Come out and cheer them on in their last conference competition.
LMMCOA Scholarship Competition

Falcons Lose: 616.12 - 725.96
The competitive cheer team took to the masts in Caledonia on Saturday for the annual LMMCOA scholarship competition.  The lady falcons had a great day and competed well.  This competition is unique in that seniors may apply for a college scholarship and coaches provide letters of support.  The association gives $1000 college scholarships to as many senior cheerleaders as they raise money for throughout the day from sales. Come out and cheer on the ladies at Kenowa Hills on Saturday February 3 at 10:00. 
Ladie Falcons Thrive at Conference Jamboree

Falcons Lose: 654.28 - 700.90
Lady Falcons competed in their second conference jamboree of the season on Wednesday at Comstock Park. The ladies opened their completion with another school record setting first round, with a score of 206.2. They went on to set a second round school record with a score of 182.38. These record setting rounds led to an overall score that also set a new school records.  These ladies were definitely born to thrive!

Falcons Lose: 644.00 - 721.00
Friday night the Lady Falcons hosted 32 teams at their annual Falcon Invitational.  An amazing combination of middle school, JV, Division, 1, 2, 3, and 4 teams were represented. Earning first place in Division 1/2 was Cedar Springs Varsity, and in Division 3/4 was Lakewood Varsity.  Lady Falcons also had a phenomenal showing on their home mat with their highest round 1 score yet! Seniors Maggie McDonald and Ashley Vander Meulen were recognized for their leadership and contribution to the team, as they stepped onto the mat for their last home competition.  Please come out and cheer on the Varsity Cheer team at their next competition at Comstock Park High School on Wednesday January 24 at 6:30 pm.
Girls Varsity Cheerleading vs. Multiple Opponents

Falcons Win: 635.00 - 625.00
Varsity competitive cheer took to the mat Saturday at the North Point Christian Invitational.   The ladies earned a first place finish; finishing 58 points higher than their last competition and setting a school record for total points earned at a competition!  After finishing round they were in the lead by 6 points over Hamilton, their closest competitor throughout the day.  Following round 2, the Falcon's had only a 3 point lead.  Not to be beat, the ladies finished with an exceptional third round to beat out the other 5 teams with an overall score of 635.32.  Please come out and cheer on the lady Falcons at their next competition at Allendale High School on Wednesday January 10 at 6:30 pm.

Falcons Win: 577.00 - 573.00
Congratulations to the Falcon Competitive Cheer Team, as they took 1st place at the 1st annual Aquinas College Cheer Invitational on Friday night!  The girls came out on top scoring a total of 577.12, 4 points ahead of 2nd place finisher, Belding.  The girls increased both their Round 2 and Round 3 scores, from last week's competition! Come out to root on your Falcons at their next meet, January 6th at Northpointe Christian High School!
