The Eagles Co-OP Hockey team extended their win streak to five games beating Jenison 3-2. While it wasn't the teams best effort, Brayden Melinn stood tall in the net making some huge saves in the third period to preserve the 3-2 win. The Eagles scored two minutes into the first. Danny Groszkiewicz getting a back door pass from Landon Smith. Collin Peal assisted on the next play. Next in scoring, Brody Baysore scored on a breakaway beating the goalie over his blocker. Brendan Farmer assisted on the goal as well. The third period goal was scored by Colton Laufer two minutes into the period. This weekend, the Eagles will travel to the Trenton Showcase tournament to take on Warren De La Salle on Friday and Lake Orion on Saturday. With the win over Jenison, this puts the Eagles back into first place with three games to play.
