Boys Varsity Cross Country vs. Shepherd HS School-Track on Grass Invite

We had a midweek cross country meet in Shepherd, a unique type of meet before our first 5k. This was the first installment of the Track on Grass Invitational where we ran different track distances on some cross country terrain. These included the 800, mile, 2 mile and 4x800 races.
The boys varsity were third place out of the few teams that were there. They had some notable finishes including Tim O’Brien who was 2nd and Evan Murphy who was 3rd in the 800 meter race! The boys scored well in the mile as Charles Brooks was 1st place and Tim O'Brien was 5th place!
This was a fun opportunity for us to get more competition under our belt before our annual Catholic Invite next Saturday at the St.Francis Retreat Center. We’ll have a hot week of training to prepare us for the hilly course we will come across! Go West!
