Excellent team communication and energy were the focal points tonight for the West Catholic Lady Falcons. After a brief moment when WC was down 5-0, the Falcons defense settled in and the gym came to life for this years new squad. Returners Reese Polega and Elisha Dykstra led the charge in scoring with 19 and 14 points respectively. Alexis Asekomeh also added 12 points in her varsity debut for the Falcons.
Becca Tuttle managed the game very well as the point guard looking to distribute the ball while Emma Tuttle cleaned up 9 boards. Everybody who was able to play got in the game for their first W of the year with a 60-48 spread. The 1-0 Falcons play Wayland Union in their home opener next Tuesday 12/12 at 7p. Go West!
