The West Catholic girls varsity basketball team returned home to face the Lakers from Spring Lake Tuesday night. The Falcons started fast running out to an 18-2 first quarter lead. Reese Polega helped get the scoring spree started with two first quarter 3 pointers and the defense didn't allow a first quarter score until two minutes to go in the quarter. West had a strong defensive effort and Emma Tuttle controlled the boards with 11 rebounds. Cadence Dykstra had a strong game running the offense and led all scorers with 18 points. Reese Polega and Elisha Dykstra both went 4/4 from the free throw line and finished with 16 and 14 points respectively. The 16-0/9-0 (OK Blue) Falcons play Friday night at home against Allendale. Tip off is 6pm. Go West!
