The West Catholic girls varsity basketball team opened up the 2023 portion of their season at home against visiting Unity Christian. The Falcons jumped out to an early 19-11 lead in the first quarter led by Elisha Dykstra%u2019s 14 points. Reese Polega had 8 points in the second quarter as the Falcons extended their lead to 42-27 at the half. Emma Tuttle controlled the boards with her 11 rebounds and 7 points and the Falcons led 54-33 going into the fourth quarter. Becca Tuttle scored 6 of her 8 points in the fourth quarter and the Falcons won 62-46. Elisha Dykstra had 15 points and Cadence Dykstra led all scorers with 18 points. The 8-0 (1-0 OK Blue) Falcons play next at Spring Lake on Tuesday. Tip off scheduled for 7:00pm. Go West!
