REGIONAL CHAMPIONS! The West Catholic girls basketball team advanced to the regional finals for the third time in three years against Newaygo and avenged last years loss to win their first regional championship since 1995. The Falcons used a dominating defense to hold Newaygo to just two first quarter points as they raced out to a 16-2 first quarter lead and never looked back. Cadence Dykstra was solid all game running the offense and led all scorers with 17 points and Elisha Dykstra added 9 points in the 55-29 victory. Reese Polega and Emma Tuttle both helped control the boards and each had 7 points. West Catholic advances to the Division 2 Quarterfinal at Wayland against undefeated Edwardsburg on Tuesday night. Tip-off at 7pm. Go West!
