The varsity hockey coop team lost their first conference game last night to EGR 5-4. The hockey team played well in the first but found themselves down 2-0 after a couple of mental mistakes that EGR capitalized on.  Ben Baysore scored with 2 minutes to go in the first to cut the lead in half.  Jake Eaton and Hayden Zimmerman assisted on the goal.  In the second period, the Eagles go down 3-1 and respond with a goal from Zimmerman.  Assisting on the goal was Isaiah Clark.  EGR added a late goal in the second period.  In the third period, Colin Peal scores off a one-timer on the Powerplay.  Jake Eaton and Josh Trendt assisted on the goal.  EGR scores again on the PP to go up 5-3.  Zimmerman scored with 7 minutes to go in the game.  Ydenerg drew the assist on the goal.  Despite out shooting EGR 43-22 the Eagles were unable to score a fifth goal.  The teams next game is vs Dearborn at Munn Ice Arena on Saturday at 1:45
