The same sentiment and words were shared for each runner on the course. "Muggy, sweaty, and heavy." The first meet happened at the annual Michigan Catholic Invitational Saturday in DeWitt. The team didn't bring home any personal records, but in a race where everyone else shared the same boat, the team did the best they could to run strong and together! The boys showed a positive attitude and energy all the way through, led by captains Elisha Fedisoni, Caleb Huzienga, and Jonathan Jensen to keep that attitude. Freshman Evan Murphy who has been training with the West Michigan Harriers all summer earned a medal and a 4th place finish for the 2 mile race! Freshman Tim O'Brien who did not run previously in middle school also earned a medal for 10th place for the 2 mile race! Pretty good start for their high school running careers! The next race is the 2 mile race at Belding where the team is going to only build off Saturday in race strategy and confidence! Let the season begin! Go West!
