1/28 WC CO-OP VS FHC 

 

The WC Co-op Falcons lost to Forest Hills Central 6 to 3 tonight at their home barn. The Eagles scored first in the first period as Max Goodfellow came down the left side and beat the FHC net minder over his glove. Tommy Doyle had an assist on the play.  Forest Hills scored quickly to begin the second, and again five minutes later to take a 2 to 1 lead. Benj Bultema scored a power-play goal with an assist to Max Goodfellow off a nice feed from behind the net. The Falcons failed to score on their final power-play opportunity in the end of the second and instead gave up a goal on the power play to go down 3 to 2. Once again the Falcons tied the game with a goal from Tommy Doyle and assist going to Ben Baysore and Max Goodfellow. Forest Hills responded 20 seconds later to go up 4 to 3 and scored three minutes to go to extend their lead. The open net goal sealed the game. The Falcons are now 6-9-1-1 and 3-2 in the league.  Their next game is Wednesday at 4:00 vs Hudsonville at Georgetown Ice Arena.

WCHS CO-OP VS Hudsonville 


The WCHS Falcons hockey came out victorious today versus Hudsonville. The Falcons managed to score one goal in each period and Noah Herzhaft stopped all 33 shots to record the shut out for the Falcons as they  came out on top by a final score of 3 to 0. Isaiah Clark got the Falcons on the board first with a hard-working goal after his strong forecheck. With assist going to Ashton Bol and Jordan Koetje.  In the second period, Jacob Noordewier found Benj Bultema alone in the slot And Benj went bar down with a quick snapshot.  Bol also assisted on the power play goal. In the third period, Sam VanSchepen beat the netminder for the teams third goal. Bol collected his third assist of the game. The Falcons record is now 7-9-1-1 overall and 3-2 in conference play.  Looking ahead for the team, they will host Lowell Caledonia on Wednesday at home, and then head to Detroit for two games this weekend.
