The hockey team lost a tough game 3-2 Friday night in triple overtime to Reeths Puffer in the opening game of the Stan Konrad tournament hosted by Mona Shores. Brendan Hofmann opened the scoring in the first with a shorthanded goal. Ashton Bol assisted on the play. Max Goodfellow scored in the second period to extend the lead to two goals. Benj Bultema and Jake Noordewier assisted on the goal. Reeths Puffer scored a power-play goal to cut the lead to one goal in the third period, and scored again on the power play with three minutes to go to tie the game. In the third overtime Reeths Puffer scored on their third power-play goal of the game to win the opening game of the tournament. Noah Herzhaft had 38 saves in the effort. The Falcons record is now 5-7-0-2 overall and 3-1 in conference.
