The Varsity Hockey team lost its home opener to the Rockford Rams 3 to 2 in overtime.  Rockford scored the first goal with five minutes to go in the first period. Brendan Hofmann answered making it 1-1 going into the second period, with assists going to Ashton Bol and Benj Bultema. Matthew Ydenberg scored four minutes later on a shot from the blue line. Max Goodfellow assisted on the goal. Rockford tied the game up later in the second period. No scoring in the third period and in the overtime the Rams scored on a power-play halfway through the overtime period.
The Eagles had 14 blocked shots in the game and Noah Herzhaft add 31 saves in the game.
