MLive published an article highlighting a ranking report by Niche.com in which they ranked the top Michigan private and charter schools for athletes. West Catholic was recognized and listed as a top 10 private school in the state of Michigan for athletes.

When asked about the designation, Denny Krynicki, West Catholic Athletic Director, said "what a testament to our coaches, community, volunteers and most importantly our student-athletes! All of the West Catholic staff is a huge part of this as well!"
