The West Catholic Varsity Baseball Team traveled to Hopkins for a single game Wednesday and came home with a 4-3 come from behind win. The Falcons scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning, then held Hopkins scoreless in the bottom of the frame for the victory.
Josh Corey pitched the final two innings for the Falcons and was credited for the win. Brennen Cornelius and Conner Chrystan also pitched for West Catholic.
Offensively, West Catholic was paced by Braden Nawrocki's three hits. Nick VanVliet added two hits for the Falcons. Mitchell Doyle, Josh Corey, Travis Zdanowski, and Conner Chrystan each singled for West Catholic.
The Falcons are off until they return from Spring Break. They will meet Allendale in a Tuesday / Thursday Conference Series upon returning.
