West Catholic Varsity Wrestling participated in the Kent County Wrestling Championships at Forest Hills Central today. This tournament brings some of the best wrestlers together in Kent County. Today was no exception.
Jake Bozek (160#) and Tomas Sjoerdsma (215#) were one win away from earning medals today. Bozek won two of his four matches by pin and Tech 18-3 over East Kentwood & Sparta, losing two other close matches, one in over time and the final was a close 2-6 loss. Sjoerdsma also earned another win with a pin and a close 2-1 victory over GRCC.
Other wrestlers who earned wins today were Jared Scully (171#) & Michael Kane (189#).
The West Catholic Falcons will take on the Allendale Falcons on Wednesday December 19th at West Catholic.
