THE FINALS! The West Catholic girls varsity basketball team has advanced to the MHSAA Division 2 State Finals for the first time since 1995 after their 62-42 semifinal victory over Detroit Country Day. The Falcons used balanced scoring and won the battle of the boards led by Emma Tuttle who had a double double with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Reese Polega who had 13 points and 8 rebounds. Cadence Dykstra running the offense finished just shy of a double double with 10 points and 7 assists. Anna Ignatoski led all scorers with 15 points and 3 steals. Next up for the Falcons will be #1 Detroit Edison in the Division 2 Finals back at the Breslin Center Saturday night at 6:30. Go West!
