The Lady Falcons played on the road at Fruitport Wednesday night in a hard fought game. Both teams had multiple opportunities throughout the first half, none of which where able to find the back of the net. The first half ended in a 0-0 tie. The Lady Falcons came out stronger in the second half and were able to put themselves up 1-0 over the Trojans after Grace Kohane connected on a pass from Ellie Klooster. Shortly after Ellie Bies was able to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead with an assist from Grace Kohane. The Trojans capitalized on a defensive breakdown to make it 2-1 with less than 10 minutes remaining, but the Falcons were able to hold the Trojans to one goal and pull off a 2-1 vicotry to open their season. The Falcons will host Coopersville Monday the 19th at 5pm.
